So like I said I plant flowers in my boxes. Well today was the day that I took my 2 3/4 year old son to lowes to pick out flowers and to buy some soil. Anytime I say your a bit too little to pick that up he reminds me " don't worry,I'm going to be three soon" in the most grown up way. Oh how time flys.So like I said I took my almost 3 year old to pick out flowers today and he informs me "all of these flowers look sad, they need water to make them happy again". I told him he was correct and we picked out some pitiful pink and purple petunias(say that 10 times fast,2 pts for those who tried it) in hopes of reviving them. We sat together in the dirt and planted our "beautiful" flowers.

While I was doing so I was remembering all the types of flowers I have planted there in the past 3 summers(and how the squirrels devour them) In June 2007 I planted purple daisy-like flowers. I still have yet to find out what they were. I took photos of them.

June 2007 was the time that I bought my 1st digital camera and the time that I decided that I was going to take my hobby and make it a career. That photo was the taken right after I started my business. I remember it was raining and I had my "big girl camera" and I held an umbrella over my camera terrified that I would get my camera wet. So 2 years later I'm typing in my blog about how I had dreams of being a professional photographer. July 2007 I took photos of Fair St Louis and sent them over email asking them if they were interested in my work for the Celebrate Saint Louis site.

They said yes and two years later I'm still shooting their advertising photos, just with a couple more perks...

(last year)
So 2 years later I'm still planting yearly flowers in my boxes and I'm still shooting for Celebrate Saint Louis (http://www.celebratestlouis.org/Celebrate/)
That hasn't changed, but both have changed me. Ok so not really. I just couldn't come up with a cheesy quote to finish this post.
Thanks for reading.
